When I was a younger man
I thought I knew it all
Until I met an older man
In the mirror on the wall
The younger man was quick to judge
His finger pointed fast
The older man knows better
And he’ll tell you when you ask
I’ve got no rocks to throw
I’ve got no rocks to throw
The house I live in is made of glass
And I learned that lesson years ago
What’s inside another’s heart
Is not for me to know
I’ll gladly lend a helping hand
But I’ve got no rocks to throw
The younger man will choose a side
And say the other’s wrong
The older man will take his time
‘Cause time can change which side you’re on
Everybody makes mistakes
I’ve made more than my share
And if I point a finger now
It’s just to say that I’ve been there
I’ve got no rocks to throw
I’ve got no rocks to throw
The house I live in is made of glass
And I learned that lesson years ago
What’s inside another’s heart
Is not for me to know
I’ll gladly lend a helping hand
But I’ve got no rocks to throw
I’ll gladly lend a helping hand
But I’ve got no rocks to throw
