It’s a good thing You were sent
To heal the brokenhearted
I’ve lost heart a time or two
And it’s good that You came
To comfort those who mourn
It seems relief is long overdue
I know one day this sorrow
Will turn to a crown
And this grief into a garment of praise
It’s just that sometimes it’s hard to learn
This lesson that You’re teaching these days
That the harder the winds blow
The deeper the roots go
The stronger my faith grows
Father in You
The harder the winds blow
The deeper the roots go
The stronger my faith grows
The harder the winds blow
It’s a good thing You were sent
To rebuild the ruins
I’ve been torn down time after time
(Time, time, time)
And although I don’t understand
How this helps me
I know that it’s Your design
You said I was planted
To show forth Your splendor
A tree of righteousness for display
I know that if I am to grow to Your glory
I must let You do it Your way
And the harder the winds blow
The deeper the roots go
The stronger my faith grows
Father in You
The harder the winds blow
The deeper the roots go
The stronger my faith grows
The deeper the roots go
The Father I’ve come to know
The harder the winds blow
The deeper the roots go
The stronger my faith grows
The harder the winds blow
The harder the winds blow
The harder the winds blow
The harder the winds blow
The harder the winds blow
