Verse 1
The man of god called to speak.
The spirit’s willing but the flesh is weak.
The Israelites had turned their backs on god.
They laid the truth aside and bought a fraud.
The prophet speaks and the people laugh.
We don’t need god we’ve got a golden calf.
They turned a deaf ear to the prophets plea
and nailed his body to a sinner’s tree.

The man of god came full of love.
He spoke the truth about a Father above.
He healed the deaf and gave the blind their sight.
The son of man became the sinners delight.
Religious fools, hearts filled with hate would not believe and so they sealed their fate.
They crucified him on the stoney hill.
God used their unbelief to seal the deal.

We’re all a part of this epic fight and the devil’s got us in his sights.
He only comes to kill, steal and destroy,
to crush your heart & steal your joy.
The king was killed and lifted up high,
his body numb, his throat was dry.
Now when you fell forgotten & alone
never forget the king arose.
